CLINIC: Good afternoon. Planned Parenthood. This is Becky. May I help you?
CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there?
CLINIC: Yes, we do.
CALLER: Oh, well, well how much does that cost?
CLINIC: We charge $290 from 6 to 11 weeks.
CALLER: Okay. Well, how do you know how far along you are?
CLINIC: By your last period.
CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, that was like December 21st.
CLINIC: That’s when it started?
CALLER: Yeah.
CLINIC: Then you’re possibly about — you’re looking at about 9 weeks and about 3 days today.
CALLER: Okay. Well, so does that — it’s just —
CLINIC: You fall in within the range of the 6 to 11 weeks to pay the $290.
CALLER: Okay. Well, I’m just really worried because like I’m going to be 14 in March and my friend told me that you guys would have to tell my parents I’m getting an abortion. But my boyfriend is 22. Could you just — could he just sign whatever it is and you wouldn’t have to tell anybody?
CLINIC: No.
CALLER: Really?
CLINIC: Really, because it’s the new law.
CALLER: Oh. Well, is there anything that I can do so that my parents don’t find out?
CLINIC: Because you’re 13 now?
CALLER: Uh-huh.
CLINIC: When are you going to be 14?
CALLER: I’ll be 14 on March 19.
CLINIC: Hold on real quick.

CLINIC: Planned Parenthood. This is Becky. May I help you?
CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was on the phone earlier, but my friend’s mom came in and I had to hang up the phone real quick.
CLINIC: Okay. What did you need?
CALLER: I was asking about getting an abortion and about my boyfriend and everything.
CLINIC: Oh, okay. What we could do for you since you are 13 — number one, we, it’s reportable to the police department because you’re 13 years old.
CALLER: Well, what would happen? Like —
CLINIC: Well, we have to make a police report because you’ve already said that your boyfriend is 22.
CALLER: Oh.
CLINIC: Okay?
CALLER: But are you going to arrest him, or is he going to jail?
CLINIC: Hold on one moment and let me have somebody else talk to you real quick. Okay?
