CLINIC: Good afternoon, Planned Parenthood, (unclear). How may I help you?

CALLER: Hi. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do.

CALLER: How much does it cost?

CLINIC: 460 for the procedure, but that does not include your options counseling and pregnancy test.

CALLER: Okay. What does the options cost or whatever?

CLINIC: The what? Options counseling and pregnancy test?

CALLER: Uh-huh.

CLINIC: It’s based upon your income and family size.

CALLER: Okay. So they have to know about my family?

CLINIC: No. They have to know — if you’re working, you have to bring in a pay stub and a picture i.d. That’s what we mean by based upon your income and family size, meaning how many does that support.

CALLER: Well, I don’t have a job or anything. I’m going to be 14 in March.

CLINIC: Do you have any insurance?

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend said he was going to pay for it. He’s got a job and everything. He’s 22.

CLINIC: Okay. Probably it will be anywhere from 477 for everything.

CALLER: So you guys don’t have to tell my parents or anybody at all?

CLINIC: No, nothing at all, sweetheart.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: All right?

CALLER: It’s just they can’t find out at all.

CLINIC: Everything done here is confidential.

CALLER: Do you guys do birth control there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do.

CALLER: And you wouldn’t have to tell anybody about that either?

CLINIC: No. Everything done here is confidential.

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: All right?

CALLER: It is okay, like if my boyfriend has a question, if I can call you back?

CLINIC: Yeah.

CALLER: Yeah? Is it all right if I talk to you? What was your name?

CLINIC: Celia (ph).
