CLINIC: Planned Parenthood, Spring Valley. Good morning.

CALLER: Hi. Do you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: No, not at this center. It’s done in White Plains. I can give you that number if you like.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: 914-761-6566.

CALLER: Do you know if they have to tell my parents or anything?

CLINIC: No. You can call them and find out all the information you need. But no, they don’t have to tell your parents.

CALLER: All right. Because if my parents found out — my boyfriend’s 22. And we’re planning on getting married and everything. But if they found out that me and my boyfriend were having sex, they would like totally flip out, because they think he’s too old for me. There’s just no way they can find out?

CLINIC: Not from us.

CALLER: All right. So nobody has to know anything, right?

CLINIC: Call the number. They’ll give you all the information.

CALLER: Okay. Do you know if there’s like an age limit for having an abortion? I’ll be 14 in March.

CLINIC: No, there is no age limit.

CALLER: No age limit at all?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Is there an age limit for birth control or anything?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Do you guys do birth control there?

CLINIC: Um-hmm.

CALLER: Yeah? They wouldn’t have to tell anybody about birth control either?

CLINIC: Confidentiality. Everything we do is confidential.

CALLER: All right. I have to talk to my boyfriend. But can I call you back?

CLINIC: No. Are you pregnant?

CALLER: Well, I think so.

CLINIC: You’re not sure?

CALLER: I took a pregnancy test from the store over the weekend, and it said it was positive.

CLINIC: Then you are pregnant. So why do you say you’re not sure?

CALLER: Well, I don’t know if I did it right.

CLINIC: There is no right or wrong. You do the urine test, whatever comes out on the thing, most of the time it is accurate.

CALLER: Is it okay if I call you back real quick?

CLINIC: What do you need to call me back for?

CALLER: Is there like a pregnancy test there or anything to make sure?

CLINIC: You can do one here. But if you know that is what you want to do, then you can go right over there because they will do a sonogram and everything there. If you do a pregnancy test, and it’s positive, most likely it is positive. Because we do the same urine test. We don’t do any other different test.

CALLER: Okay. Well, it would just make me feel better if someone else would —

CLINIC: If you want to set up an appointment to do a pregnancy test, we certainly will do that for you if you that is what you want.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Do you want to set up an appointment for that?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Hold on.
