CALLER: Hi. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: We don’t do the procedures here at our clinic. I can give you the number to our clinic that does.

CALLER: All right.

CALLER: Okay. Where is that exactly?

CLINIC: That’s in Overland Park, Kansas. It’s off 109th and Rowe.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Well, could I come there for a pregnancy test though?

CLINIC: You can come here for the pregnancy test, yes.

CALLER: Okay. It’s just, I’m scared because — well, I don’t know. But my friend told me that since like I’ll be 14 in March that they would have to tell my parents I was getting an abortion. But my boyfriend’s 22. Could he just — is he old enough to take care of that and they wouldn’t have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: That’s something you would actually have to contact them about in Overland Park. I’m not real sure how that law works and everything.

CALLER: Okay. Well, like, I’m just really just worried about all this because I haven’t had my period since like December 14, so I’m scared.

CLINIC: Okay. You can come here for the pregnancy test. You just walk in for that. You would need to be here by 4:00 today.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, is it all right — like I’d want my boyfriend to be there with me. Is that all right?

CLINIC: That’s fine. That’s fine.

CALLER: But like, we were talking about it and we decided that we didn’t want anyone to know about us. Would you guys have to have him sign anything or know about him or anything?

CLINIC: No. No. We are totally confidential here. Okay?

CALLER: Okay. Well, if it turned out that I wasn’t pregnant, could I get birth control there?

CLINIC: You would have to make it a separate appointment for that, and I can do that while you’re — we can set up that appointment while you’re here though.

CALLER: But you guys wouldn’t have to tell anybody about me being on birth control?

CLINIC: Nope. We are confidential here. Okay?

CALLER: Okay. Well, if I thought of any other questions could I call and talk to you? What was your name?

CLINIC: That’s fine. My name’s Jamie.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Okay, thanks.

CLINIC: You’d have to make an appointment though to set up for that. Okay?
