CLINIC: Planned Parenthood. This is Gwen. How may I help you?

CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: No, we do not.

CALLER: Do you know of any place that does?

CLINIC: You’ll have to check the Yellow Pages and your phone books.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay? Otherwise you can come down and we might be able to give you some information.

CALLER: Okay. Do you guys do pregnancy tests there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do.

CALLER: Do you guys have to tell my parents or anything about that? Like I’ll be 14 in March. Is that okay?

CLINIC: Yes. We do not tell your parents.

CALLER: Okay. Is it okay brings me?

CLINIC: Yes.

CALLER: Because I don’t know how else I would get there. Could he sign for me and everything, because he’s 22.

CLINIC: You can sign for yourself.

CALLER: Oh, okay. If I wasn’t pregnant, and the pregnancy test there showed that, would you guys be able to do birth control?

CLINIC: Yes.

CALLER: Would you be able to do it like right away.

CLINIC: Well, I’m not sure about tonight. Were you coming down for a pregnancy test tonight?

CALLER: No. My boyfriend would have to get off work and everything.

CLINIC: Well, let me let Carol make an appointment, okay?

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: Hang on.

CALLER: Okay.

(Pause)

CLINIC: Okay. We can do a pregnancy test. And then if you’re not, then we can do an exam. But if you’re pregnant, we can’t do an exam, okay?

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: I do have some openings this Thursday. Are you available then?

CALLER: I’d have to call my boyfriend and see, but I think so, maybe. But you don’t have to tell my parents or anything or anybody?

CLINIC: No, we don’t.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: I can tell you what I have open. I have openings from 1:30 to 3:45 or I have a 4:30 or 4:45 or a 5 open. And that’s on Thursday.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: But you need to get back with me right away because they fill in, okay?

CALLER: Okay. What was your name again?

CLINIC: My name is Carol.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: All right?

CALLER: Thanks.

CLINIC: Yep. Bye bye.
