CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: Planned Parenthood does at our sites in either Annapolis or Baltimore. There’s nothing at all in Charles, Calvert or St. Mary’s.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Would you like the number for Annapolis?

CALLER: Yeah.

CALLER: Okay. Well, do you know if there’s like an age limit to have an abortion? Like I’ll be 14 in March.

CLINIC: You just need to give them a call.

CALLER: Oh. So you don’t know? Like my friend told me that you guys have like an age limit and stuff.

CLINIC: Age has nothing to do with it.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay? So that’s why you need to call them and discuss it with them. Okay?

CALLER: Well, she also said that you guys have to like know that my — like my boyfriend’s 22, and he was going to take care of everything. Is that all right? Like you wouldn’t have to tell my parents or anything?

CLINIC: I’m telling you. I’m not the one that can tell you that information. You would have to call there.

CALLER: Oh. All right.

CLINIC: They have to assess you. They have to make that decision themselves.

CALLER: Well, do you guys do like the pregnancy test there?

CLINIC: We can do a pregnancy test here, yes. We do that on a walk-in basis. It’s a $45 fee, and that includes the counseling session. We’ll go over your options with you, whatever your options.

CALLER: I’m just scared because like if my parents find out they’ll flip out because like they hate my boyfriend because they think he’s too old for me, so they can’t find out at all. What can I do? Like would you guys have to tell them at all?

CLINIC: We don’t get involved between you and your parents.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: So all I can tell you is if you want a pregnancy test, you can come in and have a pregnancy test. Everything between you and us is confidential.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: But like if I’m not pregnant, do you guys have to tell them about birth control or anything?

CLINIC: We can tell you about birth control.

CALLER: Oh. Well, like say that I, like say that you guys — like say I wasn’t pregnant and you guys could do birth control there?

CLINIC: I’m sorry?

CALLER: You guys can do birth control there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do that here.

CALLER: But you wouldn’t have to tell anybody about it?

CLINIC: No, not at all. It’s between you and us.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Thanks.

CLINIC: Uh-huh. Bye.

CALLER: Bye.
