CALLER: Hi. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: No, we do not.

CALLER: Do you know of any place that would?

CLINIC: I can give you the number to our abortion clinic in Indianapolis.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: It’s 1-800-352-1901.

CALLER: Okay. Well do you know like if they — my friend told me that since like I’ll be 14 in March you guys have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend’s 22. Could he just sign whatever they have to do?

CLINIC: No. You have to have a parental consent. They have to be with you at the time of the abortion in Indiana.

CALLER: Is there any way not to let them know because if they found out I don’t know what they would do.

CLINIC: You can go to Illinois.

CALLER: Yeah?

CLINIC: That’s about the only place you could go that doesn’t need parental consent.

CALLER: And they wouldn’t have to tell anybody at all?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Okay. Well, could I go to where you’re at for a pregnancy test?

CLINIC: Sure.

CALLER: How much does that cost?

CLINIC: Most it would be is $5.00.

CALLER: Okay. Well, is it okay like if my boyfriend brings me?

CLINIC: Sure.

CALLER: And you wouldn’t have to tell anybody about anything?

CLINIC: Um-um.

CALLER: Okay. Well, like he’s worried that you guys have to say something about him. He just doesn’t want to get in trouble. But would you have to say anything about him?

CLINIC: No. It’s all confidential here.

CALLER: Okay. Well, like if I take the pregnancy test there and it ended up being negative, do you have birth control?

CLINIC: We have to set you up to come in and have an exam before we could give you birth control.

CALLER: Okay. But you wouldn’t have to tell my parents, or you wouldn’t have to say anything to anybody?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Okay. What was your name?

CLINIC: This is Trish.

CALLER: Okay. Thanks.

CLINIC: You’re welcome.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Bye bye.
