CLINIC: (Unclear). Can I help you?

CALLER: Hi. Yeah. Can you speak up any louder? I can barely hear you.

CLINIC: Oh, okay.

CALLER: Okay. That’s a lot better. What was your name again?

CLINIC: Yes. This is (unclear) Center. Dr. King’s office.

CALLER: Okay. Do you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: Yes.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, how much does that cost?

CLINIC: To be asleep, 400, and the local is 300.

CALLER: Okay. My friend told me that — I’m going to be 14 years old later on this month, and my friend said that you guys would have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend’s 22. Could he just sign whatever it is, and you wouldn’t have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: You have to tell your mommy or your daddy.

CALLER: Oh. Well, I can’t tell them at all.

CALLER: So there’s no way not to tell them?

CLINIC: (No response).

CALLER: Are you there?

CLINIC: You spoke before, no?

CALLER: Huh?

CLINIC: You speak before to somebody else? No.

CALLER: Well, no.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. (Unclear).

CALLER: I haven’t had my period since January 3rd, and I’m scared. Could I come in there for a pregnancy test?

CLINIC: A pregnancy test? You can come. (Unclear).

CALLER: Would anybody have to know about a pregnancy test though?

CLINIC: The pregnancy test, yes. We don’t have no (unclear).

CALLER: Okay. But does anybody have to know about a pregnancy test?

CLINIC: How old you say? Fourteen?

CALLER: I’ll be 14 on the 20th.

CLINIC: Fourteen years, right?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: If you want an examination you need to come with your mommy or your daddy together.

CALLER: Oh. But for the pregnancy test?

CLINIC: For the pregnancy test you can buy (unclear) or CVS.

CALLER: Oh, I just wasn’t sure if that was —

CLINIC: If you want to come here it’s $20 cash, the urine test.

CALLER: Well, let me call you back. What was your name?

CLINIC: Mary.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?
