CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was calling to see if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: Yes, we do.

CALLER: And he won’t go to jail?

CLINIC: You just have to say that you consented to —

CALLER: Well, I did. I mean, we’re in love. We’re going to get married.

CLINIC: All righty. So you need to make an appointment.

CALLER: When do you guys normally do that, have your appointments?

CLINIC: Yeah. We do have them like — next available will be for Thursday, Sunday, and then Tuesday and Thursday.

CALLER: So Sunday you said?

CLINIC: Yeah. I have Thursday or Sunday or Tuesday and Friday.

CALLER: What time on Sunday?

CLINIC: I will have to check. They’re all in the morning.

CALLER: Well, do you do a pregnancy test first just to make sure?

CLINIC: Yeah, uh-huh.

CALLER: Okay. Because I haven’t had one yet, really.

CLINIC: Yeah, you should do that, actually.

CALLER: So I can come in there for a pregnancy test then?

CLINIC: Yeah. Why don’t you do that first, okay?

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: Between 8 and 4:30 Monday through Friday.

CALLER: How much does it cost for that?

CLINIC: It’s free.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, if it turned out that I wasn’t pregnant, could I get —

CLINIC: You can make the appointment, for the next available appointment.

CALLER: But if I wasn’t pregnant, could I get birth control there?

CLINIC: No. You need to have at least two pregnancy tests.

CALLER: Okay. But do you guys do birth control at all?

CLINIC: Yes. That one, it cost $80 though.

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend said that he would pay for everything.

CLINIC: Okay, no problem.

CALLER: But would anybody have to know about birth control?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Would anybody have to know that I was on birth control?

CLINIC: No. Okay?

CALLER: So you’re sure that nobody would have to find out about anything?

CLINIC: Not unless you tell them. Okay?

CALLER: All right. Okay. I call you back to make an appointment after I look at my schedule?

CLINIC: Sure, no problem. Okay?

CLINIC: Yes.

CALLER: Well, I don’t know. I don’t know. I guess.

CALLER: Okay.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: My friend told me that since I’ll be 14 in March that you they would have to tell my parents I was having an abortion. But my boyfriend’s 22. Would they be able to just have him sign everything, and they wouldn’t have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: Actually, you don’t have to have your parents sign that at all. It’s all up to you.

CALLER: Really?

CLINIC: Yeah. They don’t even have to know about it if you don’t want them to.

CALLER: Okay. Well, do you know if I could get birth control if I wasn’t pregnant?

CLINIC: Yeah. You can get that also.

CALLER: Would they have to tell anybody about that at all?

CLINIC: No. Everything that goes on inside the clinic, that’s where it stays pretty much.

CALLER: Really?

CLINIC: Um-hmm.
