CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was wondering if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: No. Let me give you the number.

CALLER: Okay.

CALLER: Okay. Could I ask a couple questions?

CLINIC: Go ahead.

CALLER: Well, my friend told me that since I’ll be 14 in March, that my parents have to know about it. My boyfriend’s 22. Could he just sign whatever papers there are?

CLINIC: Well, since he’s 22, he’s not suppose to be dating you.

CALLER: What do you mean?

CLINIC: That’s like statutory rape.

CALLER: What is that? He’s not raping me. I mean, we’re in love. We’re going to get married.

CLINIC: Okay. But that what’s the law says. What you need to do is call Family Planning, and they can answer those questions for you. Because we really don’t deal with all that.

CALLER: Oh.

CLINIC: So that would be probably a better source for you to go to.

CALLER: Do you guys do the pregnancy test there? Could I get that?

CLINIC: You can come here and get your verification, because you will need that to get an abortion.

CALLER: Would you guys have to tell anybody about that?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Is it all right if my boyfriend brings me? Because I don’t know how else to get there.

CLINIC: Yeah, he can bring you. That’s fine.

CALLER: Well, would he get in trouble or anything?

CLINIC: No, no, no.

CALLER: Okay. If I wasn’t pregnant, do you guys have birth control there?

CLINIC: Yeah. You can get — we’ll set you up here. Come on in before for, and we can take you today if you can.

CALLER: But nobody has to know or anything?

CLINIC: No. Our services here are confidential.

CLINIC: My name is Marlena (sp).
